Is Kivanto Solo free for professional use too?
Yes. One person may use Kivanto Solo free of charge on their personally used local computer for personal and professional purposes. This does not include a shared server for multiple people. The terms of use apply.
Which operating systems does Kivanto Solo support?
Kivanto Solo is available for macOS with Apple Silicon or Intel processors, Windows x64 and Linux x64. A Java package is also available for an installed Java 25 runtime. The desktop packages include Java and the local database.
Is an AI model included in the download?
No. To receive AI answers, configure a local model or an external AI provider. External providers may charge for use, and the content needed for a request is sent to them.
How do I get a new stable version?
This page loads the latest stable release from the public kivanto-downloads GitHub repository. Download the appropriate package. Before updating, stop Kivanto and back up your data folder and kivanto.env file. If the download list cannot load, use the GitHub link to access the published files.
