1. Free single-user operation

The rights holder permits one natural person to use Kivanto Solo free of charge on their personally used local computer. This includes personal and professional use. Multiple local AI clients and agents belonging to that same person may connect to the instance.

2. No shared server instance

This permission does not cover operating a shared service for multiple people, whether concurrently or sequentially. It excludes shared team, enterprise, terminal-server, shared VDI, intranet, hosting and SaaS deployments. Multiple people may not share a Kivanto Solo account or its agent keys. Network publishing, reverse proxies, tunnels or gateways do not extend these rights.

Operating an instance for multiple people or providing it as a network service requires a separate agreement for the Kivanto Server edition. Independent local installations for different people on their respective personally used computers are permitted.

3. Software and data

The software remains protected by copyright. Free use does not grant a general open-source license or a right to offer modified or unmodified versions as your own service to others. Technical restrictions may not be removed to use the software outside the granted rights, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. You may back up and export your own data.

4. Statutory rights and third-party software

Mandatory statutory rights, including necessary backup copies, permitted examination and legally permitted interoperability, remain unaffected. Included third-party software remains subject to its own license terms. These terms do not restrict rights granted by those licenses.
